The Holocaust

The Nazi ideology was based on the idea that the Aryan was the supreme human being. Remember that, even at this time, the Jews were not well liked in Germany or, for that matter, in most parts of Europe. They had been discriminated against for centuries, so this was nothing new. However, in the Jews, Hitler saw a scapegoat to explain the problems that Germany had following the defeat in the First World War.
