MUMBAI: The emerging markets in Asia will be the driving force the Italian fashion house Roberto Cavalli as theslowdown in the European luxury goods market has impacted consumer spends in the region , said the chief executive of the iconic luxury brand.

The 40-year-old Roberto Cavalli brand, which has struck a franchise agreement with Dubai-based Infinite Luxury group for its India entry , is a late entrant into the country. But it will look to ramp up its presence through flagship stores and Cavalli Cafes, said Gianluca Brozzetti, group CEO, Roberto Cavalli, in an interaction with TOI.

The Florence-based brand, known for its over-the-top style and bold prints, is now looking aggressively at this part of the world with its first few stores opening in Tokyo, Beijing and then in New Delh
